Snapfish is an online photo sharing and creative portal, formerly owned by HP.
I was Snapfish’s lead copywriter and editor from September 2006 through December 2011. Below is a variety of the projects I worked on in that role and as part of the marketing team.
The Snapfish Holiday Catalogue was our biggest print marketing publication of the year. A lot rode on making it absolutely top-notch, as a significant portion of the year's revenue came from holiday greeting cards and photo gifts. Working in conjunction with the marketing and graphic design wizards, I created compelling copy that would help drive sales to meet our year-end goals. And I proofread every last word of the thing, too. View the entire 2008 catalogue and see what you think.
We included promotional inserts, such as this, in customers' orders to create loyalty, cross-sell products, and encourage repeat business. View it larger.
When HP asked Snapfish to promote its wireless photo printers, I was part of the in-house creative team that generated the content. View it larger.
I also wrote website and marketing copy for many of our partner and white-label brands, including Walmart, Walgreens, and Flickr. View it larger.
We ran a number of affiliate and external marketing campaigns, like the Snapfish/Oakland A's Fan Photo Day promo, and I had the fun of writing the copy. View it larger.
When Snapfish launched a new feature, like face-tagging, I wrote instructional copy for the website to teach customers how to use it. View it larger.
When Snapfish ran an email promotion, I worked with the design and marketing teams to create coordinating on-site ads. View it larger.
To really cement my status as Word-Nerd-in-Chief, I wrote the Snapfish copy style manual as reference material for all of our in-house and contract copywriters.
